Hello Earthly Angels and Faeries!
About one month ago I became an ordained minister. Taking this next step was natural. The process was simple. The decision was simple. Everything flowed. The day after I received my ordination another piece of my soul's mission was revealed to me. It arrived in the form of an experience with one of God's creatures.
Here's what happened, my husband and I were driving home in our neighborhood when I found a squirrel hit by a car lying in the middle of the street. I asked my husband to stop the car and I got out. I immediately received a message that flooded into my being, "This is one of God's creatures." Followed by a question, "You wouldn't leave a person lying in the street would you?" I replied without thinking, "Absolutely not!" As I stood there a man that resided in a house a few doors down said, "I'm just going to throw it in the sewer over there. I'll take care of it." At this same time my husband was saying from the car window, "Molly, come on and get back in the car." I was getting direction and messages from all around me. The message I knew that was the one to listen to was the message that was being flowed to me from the wisdom of my heart. My heart said, "Come on back and create a magical experience by honoring this creature." (Continue this story by clicking on the Read More link)
I got back in the car. When my husband and I arrived back at home a few minutes later he headed inside and I hopped on my bike back to where the squirrel was in the road. When I picked up the squirrel I was crying and crying. Wave after wave of emotions came over me. I rode my bicycle to the park across the street and gently placed the squirrel in a beautiful location amongst the thick shrubs in the park. I made a make-shift cross to mark the sacred location and said the Ho'oponono prayer of forgiveness, "I'm sorry. Please forgive. Thank you. I love you." I brought those words into my heart.
When I go on bike rides I usually carry a couple of plastic bags with me in my basket just in case I encounter garbage on the roadway. I've found beer bottles, pop cans, fishing line, and six-pack rings, all which go right in my garbage bag in my basket. Luckily enough, two days after I found the squirrel I had one of those plastic bags with me. In the roadway once again I encountered another creature. This time it was a bird. I took out one of my plastic bags and transported the bird back to the park and placed it in the same location I placed the squirrel under the shrubs. I said the Ho'oponopono prayer and headed back home.
Another day and yet another bird. This time something new flowed into my heart. I felt it in every ounce of my being. I could feel my heart asking me a new question. "Why not create a sacred space of honor for the small creatures on my very own property?" So that's what I did! I brought the baby bird back to my property and created a sacred space at the foot of my "bird of paradise" tree. How about that for a magical metaphor?! "Bird...of...paradise a sacred resting place for birds and small creatures.
My next step to mark this site was to bring in a sacred symbol was simple. I brought in one of my favorite garden Angels which I purchased in memory of my mother, Helen, who transitioned in 2012, and placed it at the foot of the tree as well. (See the picture at the top of the blog post).
I then created a natural cross by using the leaves from the bird of paradise tree and covered the baby bird with one of the bird of paradise leaves.
Here you see the bird of paradise cross honoring the sacred burial location of God's creatures on my property.
This rock is also used as a sacred marker honoring the creatures on our property.
Honoring the animals tip:
Whenever I see an animal on the roadway or on the highway that has transitioned I ask the Angels and Faeries to please make sure this lovely being is connected with God's light and I send a wave of light and love to the soul of the animal that once resided in that body. I want to make sure that creature knows I "see" him or her and I honor the journey they walked upon this earth. Did you know we can all send love and connect with a soul or creature who has transitioned even if it's minutes, days, or decades after the transition to the light! Sending the light always makes a positive difference. And it always helps you to raise your vibration too!
